What is special about this course?

This course allows individuals currently working in a Business and Administration supervisory role to gain a nationally recognised qualification by providing evidence from their role to show competence in their chosen areas of study.

There are so many individuals who have been in their job role for a number of years who know their job inside out and do it to the highest of standards, but have never had the opportunity to gain a formal qualification. If this sounds like you then this is definitely the course for you.

With the help of an assessor, you will build an electronic portfolio gathering evidence to show that you are skilled and knowledgeable in your role.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are required to undertake this work-based qualification.

However, applicants must be employed in a suitable supervisory post to allow them to gather evidence to show they are skilled and knowledgeable in their role.

To achieve the SVQ 3 Business and Administration at SCQF level 6 you must complete eight units in total. There are three mandatory units which all candidates need to complete.

However, the beauty of this course is that the candidate then chooses the five optional units. This allows you to choose units relevant to your role making it easy for you to gather evidence of how well you undertake the position.
