Photo competition rules
We are a class of Access to Further Education students at UHI Argyll running a small photo competition.

Who can participate?
Anyone can take part, whether amateur or professional.
Are there specific age groups or categories?
There will be two categories one for 16 under and one for 16 above.
Please supply your name and age with entry.
Are there specific themes or genres?
We’d like to see photographs featuring animals and nature.
Please provide some information about the subject of your photograph.
How will you choose the winners?
Our class will judge what photos we deem best. We are not photographers so it will be the photos that appeal to us most.
The winning images will be shared on social media on the 19th of March 2025.
What are the prizes?
The prizes will be a £25 Amazon voucher for each category.
Terms and conditions
- Free to enter.
- The competition runs from the 4th to the 16th of March. We cannot accept submissions after this date.
- Do not use AI imaging/Google imaging for photos.
- You must be the owner of the image you submit.
- Ensure good lighting when taking photographs.
- There will be Amazon vouchers for the best photographs of nature and animals.
- We will notify all the winners by email.
- Winners will receive their Amazon voucher by email.

- Copyright of images remains with the original photographer.
- All prizes will be sent out via email
- Sending an entry is confirmation you wish to enter the competition.
- We will keep your information private and confidential and will not share your details with the public or any organisations.
- All prizes need to be collected in your name. If you are Under 16 we may require a parental/guardian email address.
- All prizes are vouchers and will not be cash.
- Any entries after the deadline date will not be counted.
- We will not accept joint, or group submissions and all work must be your own. Any entries found to breach copyright will be removed from the competition.
- We have the right to remove any photo that is inappropriate that does not meet the criteria.
- We may publish the winning photograph in our local newspaper.
- All entries will be kept for a maximum of 12 months and then removed from our system.
- You may ask for your entry to be deleted at any point.
