Student support
We strive to create the ideal study environment for each and every student.
Our friendly, approachable local centre staff are here to support you and will be able to advise on most of your day to day questions. If you need more specialist help they will be able to direct or refer you to the most appropriate service. Your course lecturer will be your first point of contact if you have problems or questions about any aspect of your course.
You can also contact our Student Support team by email at ACStudentSupport@uhi.ac.uk, who cover a wide range of things important to your student life - including funding advice, additional support for learning, alternative assessment arrangements, mental health support and other issues that may affect your learning experience.
Our student support team can speak to you privately and in confidence if you have any problems you’d like advice or information on.
At the start of your course you will be invited to attend a welcome session, where you will get the important information needed to get the most from your time with us.
Additional support
Additional support
If you have a disability or learning difficulty that could affect your studies, our experienced Student Support team will work with you to find ways to reduce any barriers.
This can include helping you to use an alternative technology, individual study support, alternative assessment arrangements and working with you to provide a more accessible environment for your needs.
Please notify the local centre staff or declare any disabilities on your application form - then we can contact you to discuss what would be the most suitable support for you. We can help with pre-entry guidance and support so be sure to speak to about any concerns you have at an early stage.
