Islay Schools Link Student of the Year 2020

Ben MacDonald has been named the 2020 Schools Link Student of the Year for Islay. Ben has recently completed Argyll College’s Creative Digital Media course at SCQF level 4.

Ben was nominated by Tutor Gordon Bermingham who said, Ben takes time to consider what he has been asked to do in class and delivers consistently good work. He is always willing to help his fellow classmates and is a very good contributor to class discussions.’’

Islay High School Head Teacher, Stephen Harrison said, “We’re absolutely delighted for Ben and it’s great to see the commitment and effort that he has put into this course. I have no doubt that this will give him a great deal of confidence going forward as he starts thinking about a career after school.  Well done, Ben!”
