UHI Argyll offer further and higher education in one of the most geographically fragmented areas of Scotland. We are an academic partner of UHI. The university operates through a partnership of twelve colleges and research institutions, located throughout Argyll, the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Perthshire.

We are seeking up to four individuals to join the Board of Governors of UHI Argyll. We are particularly seeking applications from those with a finance and/or business background

You should understand the value of education and its role in the future economic prosperity of Argyll. As a Company director and charity trustee of the College, you will be part of the board during a period of change and opportunity for Argyll and the future of further and higher education in the region. 

Board members are responsible for the leadership, management and strategic direction of the College and its provision across 8 Learning Centres. It would be preferable for you to have knowledge of Argyll, although you do not necessarily have to be based in the region.

Our board meets quarterly, and you would also be expected to sit on committees which also meet every three months, mainly using MS Teams, but in person at least once a year. You can learn more about current board members here.

If you understand the value and importance of education and training to the future prosperity of Argyll and the islands, we would like to hear from you.  These positions are not remunerated however reasonable travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed.
